I’m working on a paper for my Language, Culture, and Society class (I’m an anthropology major) in which I discuss the uniqueness of tumblr language and its implications about our tumblr society and the way we think about the world around us as a part of tumblr—not necessarily how we actually write/speak, but how we talk about how we write/speak, specifically tumblr/internet language. Like, idk if you guys know this but we’re really strangely hyper-aware of our language use on tumblr and it’s fascinating. Look at these posts if you don’t know what I’m talking about: (x) (x) (x) Or how about a whole article about this very topic? (x)
Anyway, I need some more examples/things to analyze in my papers, preferably some that are a bit different from the ones above in content and maybe discussion style or whatever, but they’re a bit hard for me to find. If anyone has any examples of those kinds of posts analyzing tumblr language or language in general they could send me (the sooner the better), that would be lovely.
Thank youu. <3

I have finally found the most perfect post in the history of Tumblr.

Even when I had nothing, I had Bucky. I don’t think I could’ve done it without him.
If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?
